Meet Jason Haly: Our New Business Development Manager

Insights

Business Development Manager | Brisbane

We sat down with Jason to welcome him to the Intelligent Pathways team and learn more about his professional background, future goals, and what he enjoys outside of work.

Welcome to the team, Jason! Can you give us a bit of insight into your professional background and experience?

Thank you! I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse cross-section of industries and people. Prior to Tech I explored everything from shipbroking to media sales. Living abroad and being self-sufficient through my own sales endeavours taught me a lot about adaptability and resilience. I’m always eager to try something new, so I’m excited to take on this new role!

What attracted you to this role and working with Intelligent Pathways?

Initially, it was the skill set outlined in the position description that caught my eye. But as I investigated more about Intelligent Pathways, I was genuinely impressed by the leading-edge solutions we’ve developed and capabilities the company offers. I felt challenged and eager to learn more. If something piques my interest and generates enthusiasm that’s a sign I can get others excited about it too.

What are you most looking forward to learning here?

I’d have to say learning more about AI—it’s something I’m really keen to explore. Beyond that, I’m excited to make this role my own. In business development there’s the opportunity to wear many hats, which means no two days are the same. I look forward to working with the extended team, senior leadership and our customers to understand every perspective.

What is one goal you’d like to achieve in the next 12 months?

I’d like to focus on building strong relationships with the IP team, many have been with the organisation for over 10 years. I’m looking forward to learning about our customers, their digital initiatives and how we collaborate to make each project happen.

What’s your favourite hobby or thing to do outside of the office?

I love to relax, spend time with friends, going for walks, watching a good series and making it to the gym. Working out isn’t relaxing but I enjoy how I feel afterwards. The key is balance – remembering it’s a marathon, not a race!

What app or piece of technology can you not live without?

My Spotify. I can’t imagine being out for a walk or exercising without my AirPods and Spotify playing. It would be too boring!

What’s a great piece of advice that you live by? Or what’s a bit of a mantra for you?

“Two ears, one mouth.” It’s a simple reminder about the power of listening and asking thoughtful questions. Saying less makes a bigger impact.
